Your Next Steps:

1. Accept Your Offer of Admission

To accept your offer of admission, please submit the non-refundable enrollment deposit of $200. We encourage you to make your deposit by May 1 (Fall applicants), or within two weeks of when you were admitted (Spring applicants) as housing is limited. You can pay the deposit under the welcome tab of the TU Portal or by returning the enclosed enrollment deposit form with a personal or bank-issued check drawn upon a bank in the U.S. or a money order made payable to Temple university.

2. Request a Room in University Housing

If you would like a room in University Housing, you must first submit the $250 housing deposit in addition to your tuition deposit. Please visit Temple Housing to learn more about the selection process and our facilities. Please make arrangements before leaving your home country.

3. Visit the Campus

If you are able to visit Philadelphia, contact us to arrange a tour. We would love to show you around campus. Come to one of our weekday information sessions or email us to schedule a visit.

4. Review your I-20 and pay the SEVIS Fee, if needed

If you require an I-20 to study at Temple University, please complete your Certificate of Eligibility Application Form and send in the supporting documents as soon as possible. Visit International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) for more information about this process. The I-20 will be mailed to you once you have paid your deposit and submitted the required documents. Once you receive it, please pay your SEVIS fee online. Transfer students should make arrangements for their current I-20 to be released to Temple University after submitting the Certificate of Eligibility Application. 

5. Contact a U.S. Embassy or Consulate to apply for your student visa, if needed

Please follow instructions at the US Embassy in your country.

6. Reserve your place for the mandatory New Student Orientation

Please check TUportal for orientation dates and registration information.

7. Please arrive on the assigned arrival dates.

Fall 2018 Arrival Dates: Monday, August 20 and Tuesday, August 21

We advise you to arrive on August 20 if you are living off-campus or August 21 if you are living on-campus. 

Students who have registered for New Student Orientation should arrive on the assigned dates. If you are unable to attend the New Student Orientation, please contact for our late arrival procedures. Please note that the US government does not allow international students to enter the country earlier than 30 days before the program start date indicated on your I-20.
