Additional Program Information

What’s the difference between an Institute/Intensive and Pre-College Workshops?

Pre-College Workshops allow students to mix and match 2-hour classes to explore multiple interests or pick a  full-day workshop from the list of Institutes and Intensives to focus intensely on one area of study. In either program, you will learn in small classes, alongside other high school students, from Temple faculty, graduate students, and staff, and you will get lots of support from our Temple student staff along the way. You will apply what you learn to real-world challenges, and leave with a better understanding of what you may want to study in college.

How to Enroll

Intensives and Institutes require an application to be admitted. We recommend for most of these programs that students have some experience in the subject matter, but it is not required. Click "Apply Now" to get started with your free application.

Application Deadline
Enrollment opens in December 2025. Applications will be accepted through May 1, 2026 with priority given to those who apply prior to March 1.

Notification of Acceptance
Students will be notified of an admissions decision two weeks after the deadline. You will receive an email from  advising you of the admissions decision and what to do next.

Enrolling in the Program
Once you receive your acceptance, you are considered enrolled in the program when you pay your 10% deposit. A link for how to pay this deposit will be provided to you in your acceptance email. You may pay the remainder of your program fee in any installments that work for you and your family, provided you are paid in full by June 1, 2026. When selecting classes on the application form, be sure to select the name of your Intensive for the AM and PM slot.  You do not need to enter a second choice.
