In partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Studies, the University Honors Program supports its mission of student-faculty mentorship through the Honors Affiliated Faculty initiative.
Each year, four full-time faculty members are appointed as faculty affiliated with University Honors. During this appointment, the faculty member joins an interdisciplinary group of instructors and will have the opportunity to develop new introductory and special topics courses. Affiliated faculty teach a total of four classes in the Honors Program, included a related two-class sequence. For example, a faculty may teach a General Education/introductory class in the fall followed by a special topics class in spring.
Faculty affiliated with Honors hold office hours in the Honors spaces in Tuttleman and participate in Honors related activities like lectures, field trips, the end of the year Senior Scholars celebration, and more.
