Hi everyone! My name is Nicholas Vasques (he/him), and I’m a senior at Temple University majoring in Biology. I’m a premedical student currently in the application cycle. I’m originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, about 40 minutes outside the city, but I’ve always loved Philadelphia, and being able to attend such an incredible university right in the heart of it has been an amazing experience. On campus, I’m an Honors Ambassador and actively involved in many different clubs. I’m also part of an oral medication suppression of bitter taste research lab through the College of Science and Technology. In addition, I’m a proud member of Phi Delta Epsilon, Temple’s medical fraternity, where I value the strong sense of community and mentorship among fellow premedical students. I work as a medical scribe in the Emergency Department at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, an experience that has further solidified my interest in patient-centered care and medicine. You can usually find me studying around campus, with my favorite spot being the quiet space on the fourth floor of Charles Library, going for a run, trying new food from the many food trucks around campus, or unwinding with a good Netflix show. If you have any questions about Temple, the premedical path, or getting involved on campus, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help!
