Temple University offers the option to tour Main Campus in person. Our campus tours feature an outdoor walking tour with an Owl Ambassador.
Health & Safety
Temple follows the guidelines and restrictions put in place through local, state and federal governments, as well as guidance issued by public health organizations, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
If you feel sick, please stay home and register for a campus tour on a later date. If you have questions about Temple’s health and safety guidelines for visitors, email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, visit temple.edu/coronavirus.
A campus tour includes a brief welcome and admissions overview from one of our staff members, followed by an outdoor walking tour led by one of our Owl Ambassadors. A visiting family is limited to four members: a prospective student and up to three guests.
Please note on select dates throughout the year, tours may not be available and select on-campus facilities and residence halls may not be shown.
Tours will depart rain or shine.
Weekday campus tours are offered Monday–Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., excluding university holidays and select dates. A brief admissions presentation will precede the outdoor walking tour. Registration is required and space is limited.
Temple offers special visit events for students looking to transfer to Temple from another college or university on selected dates. Temple Transfer Day features information from our academic schools and colleges, an Admissions information session and a campus tour.
Temple Transfer Day will be offered on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, May 18, 2023. Registration is required.

Group Tours are a 60-minute walking tour with a current student ambassador for groups of 10 or more people from the same school or organization.
We have limited availability for group visits during our academic year. If you would like to inquire about scheduling a group tour please email email@example.com and include your group name, number of students, and contact information.
Group Tour requests are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited and visits tend to fill up quickly. Please submit your email request at least two weeks before the day you would like to visit.
After your request is submitted, our office will contact your group within 10 business days. Once the request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email, typically within one week of the approval.
Please keep the following in mind as you plan for your group visit.
Due to the high volume of visitors on Temple’s campus, group tours are only offered during select months of the year based on the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ discretion.
Group tours are only available Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Group tours are not offered during weekends, holidays and select weeks throughout the calendar year.
We are unable to accommodate group requests from middle schools due to the volume of high school requests we receive.
Groups cannot exceed 40 total students. For every 10 students, 1 adult chaperone must be present.
The group contact, if scheduled for a date, must confirm the date and time offered no later than five business days after receiving a group visit offer email. Due to the high volume of requests, groups cannot exceed the five business day confirmation period.
Group tours are not guaranteed.
