Hello, my name is Sylvia! I’m a junior majoring in Psychology and pursuing an Honors Interdisciplinary minor in Social Justice. I was born and raised in Florida and Boston! Being accepted into the Honors Program played a large role in my decision to choose Temple, but I’ve always loved our campus and Philadelphia’s proximity to other major cities. I’ve gained experience in a variety of leadership and service-oriented roles at Temple. I work at the Cherry Pantry in the student center, tutor with a wonderful organization called Grandmas' Kids, and create motivational content. Five things I love are: movies, traveling, cooking, working out, and quality time with myself and my loved ones. I am eager to continue exploring my passion for mental health, youth development, and counseling.
