Hey everyone! My name is Samiksha Padiyar, and I am a Senior Actuarial Science major at Fox. I am originally from Bengaluru, India, and I moved here for college. I studied abroad at Yonsei University in South Korea. On campus, I am involved in a bunch of clubs – Gamma Iota Sigma, International Student Advisory Board, and, of course, my favorite Honors Admissions and Transitions Team. I am a part of both the Honors Program and the Fox Honors program, so please reach out if you have any questions about either.  When it comes to on-campus jobs, I am a Resident Assistant in the Upperclassmen Global Living Learning Community at Temple Towers and I am a Peer Mentor for international students. I also had a brief stint working as a Writing Tutor in Fall 2021. When it comes to working off campus, I interned at Cigna in their Philadelphia office in the Summer of 2022 as an Individual and Family Plans Actuarial intern. In the Summer of 2023, I interned with EY in their Philly office as a Property & Casualty Consulting intern. I am officially going back to EY for full-time in the Fall of 2024! Finally, I also have a few hobbies I like to occasionally indulge in. I am a Senior-level Carnatic Classical vocalist, a Veena player, a dancer, a reader, occasional gamer, and an anime enthusiast.
