Hello! My name is Erin (she/her) and I am a biochemistry major. I am someone who really enjoys chemistry and I have been lucky enough to find other people who feel the same way since I have come to Temple! I live in an area of south Jersey which is just over an hour away from Temple. I have spent a lot of time coming into the city to take advantage of what it has to offer, and my choice to come to Temple has been another step in that journey of exploring the city. The deciding factor in my choice to come to Temple was the Honors program and the opportunities, community, and benefits it offers. With this, I have been able to explore the amazing opportunities Temple offers. I am a member of Temple's chapter of Active minds, a club the works to erase the stigma surrounding mental health. I am also a GBM coordinator for the Temple University Chemical Society (TUCS) which brings those who enjoy chemistry together to learn more and volunteer. I am the secretary of Feminist Alliance which creates a supportive and inclusive community. I am also an EMT. I work as a building manager at the Student Center, so make sure to come in and say hi! You may find me setting up rooms for upcoming events that the Student Center holds. With this, I just became part of a wonderful research laboratory within the Chemistry Department in CST. Finally, I am a HATT who is excited to talk with perspective honors students! When I am not taking part in these wonderful communities at Temple, I spend my time on campus with the friends I was lucky enough to make during my first semester at Temple. We enjoy spending time exploring the city and taking part of the group fitness sessions at the gym on campus, IBC. I am an avid learner, so I enjoy exploring campus to find new nooks and crannies to study. Other things on campus I really enjoy include going to Boyer and playing the piano in one of the practice rooms. I may not be a music student, but I have been playing piano for the last ten years and still enjoy keeping it up in my free time. I am excited to be a HATT to help perspective students, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or thoughts!
