Hi there! My name is Hafsah. I am a Senior majoring in Bioengineering with a minor in Biology and a certificate in Genomic Medicine on the pre-med track. I’m originally from Doylestown PA, but I’ve loved calling Philly my new home over the past three years. I work as a STEM tutor in the SSC and in a metabolic disease lab at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. On campus I am involved in Temple’s Remote Area Medical Chapter, the Society for Women Engineers, oSTEM, and I’ve been a Peer Instructor for the Honors First Year Seminar. In my free time I can be found reading or crocheting. I love classic literature and treat my yearly reading challenge on Goodreads as a marker for my self-esteem. I’m a big fan of 80s British Rock Bands, especially The Smiths and The Cure. In Philly I love to eat at new restaurants, go to concerts, and I am currently trying to find the best breakfast sandwich in the city. Come talk to me anytime about book recommendations, research, volunteering, all things science, or how to get more involved at Temple. I can’t wait to get to know you!
