What did you enjoy most about living in the Honors LLC?

“I lived in the 1300 LLC my First Year and have lived in 1300 ever since! Something I really loved about the HLLC is the community that we were able to form and that my roommate who is also an Honors Student became one of my best friends here at Temple. The HLLC is a place to find community and develop friendships.”

What are 3 pieces of advice that you would give to an Honors Student?

  • You’re More Than Your Grades: The Honors Program cares about your academic success, but not at the expense of your mental health. Honors Staff are super supportive of students in both their accomplishments and their hiccups.

  • Don’t Put Pressure On Yourself: Coming to college can be an overwhelming experience and you will be pulled in a million different directions and will want to sign up for a million different things. Take your time and pace yourself so that you can find what works best for you. This also gives you the ability to curate the Temple Experience you want to have.

  • Put Your Authentic Self Out There: Try new things! If you try things with your authentic self, you will find the experiences and friendships that are meant for you. Break out of your bubble and find your authentic self.
