Hi! My name is Kushali (she/her). I am a junior Health Professions major with a biology minor on the pre-physician assistant track at Temple Honors! I am from Downingtown PA, which is about an hour away from school. At Temple, I am a part of the Pre-Physician Assistant Organization, where I shadow certified PAs, attend medical workshops and find amazing volunteer opportunities. I work as a Patient Care Technician at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital where I gain my clinical hours for Pre-PA. During this, I take vitals, take EKGs, draw blood, assist with transfers, check blood sugars, deliver meals, and help with anything that the nurses need! I also work as a medical assistant at a gynecology office in Philadelphia. Over the summer, I interned at GlaxoSmithKline as a Global Demographics and Diversity Intern to increase diversity in clinical trials. I was an At Your Service Intern at Temple Hospital where I volunteered to round on inpatient and outpatient units as well as greet visitors at our concierge desk and throughout the hospital. I love to play soccer and dance! I am involved in the Grass Root Soccer Club, where a group of athletes come together on the weekends to play soccer. I am a member of other clubs as well like Diamond Dogs and Temple SASS. I volunteer with Morris Animal Refuge in South Philly and I get to walk, play with, and feed dogs at the shelter. I love to travel, my family and I have been all around the world to places like Tanzania, Peru, Alaska, Costa Rica, The UK, etc. I love everything that is associated with it, from trying new foods to learning about new cultures to exploring new beautiful cities all around the world! I am an avid tv show and movie lover! Some of my favorites are The Vampire Diaries, New Girl, Stranger Things and Selling Sunset. I like being active and outdoors, love shopping, love animals, and enjoy spending time with family and friends! Exploring the city with friends is something I am always down to do. I am so excited to be a HATT! Reach out with anything :)
