As an International Admissions Counselor, Madeline focuses on recruiting and working with students from Latin America.
A lifelong Philadelphia resident, Urbine went to Temple herself where she started out in Rome as part of the second cohort of the Temple Rome Entry Program. Passionate about both study abroad and Philadelphia, her hometown, she worked as a student liaison for the program, sharing her perspective on how starting Temple in Rome benefitted her. She has been working towards fluency in both Spanish and Italian despite her Spanish being miles ahead of her Italian. Her Spanish fluency has allowed her to work with the College of Liberal Arts Translation Institute in their first cohort. Madeline finished her studies at Temple with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish.
A year after graduating, she is back to recruit first-year students throughout Central and South America. Temple has opened many doors for her, and she hopes to do the same for prospective students by introducing them to the all the wonderful things Temple has to offer.
To incoming students, she recommends eating your way through the city. “Philly prides itself on our cuisine so if you are looking to cure your home sickness over a bowl of soup or to get some stamps on your culinary passport, sampling food both on and off campus is the way to do it!
