Hi! My name is Maggie (she/her) and I am a senior double majoring in Computer Science and Criminal Justice. My hometown is Glenside, PA about thirty minutes north of the city. I love to spend my weekends baking cookies, watching new movies, and going out with friends to concerts and Phillies games. Moving into the city wasn’t the biggest change for me since I had visited a lot with friends and family before but the increased freedom and access I have living on campus in Philadelphia has been amazing. I have loved taking the subway into the city with friends to visit fun places such as the Reading Terminal, South Street thrift shops, Rittenhouse Square Farmer’s market, and the Art Museum to name a few. In addition to being an Honors Ambassador, I am an attorney on Temple's Mock Trial team. I also did research in the Temple iEcoLab studying Spotted Lanternflies from 2020-2022 and completed research in a Computer Science lab creating chrome extensions that identify and explain data graphs sophomore year. I also have been working as a student worker in the Honors Program since my sophomore year, helping out the advisors throughout the week! I lived in the Honors LLC my freshman year where I met great people to explore the city with and created lasting friendships (both roommates I still live with today!). I now live in my off campus apartment with my three roommates and try to fit as many fun classes- like glassblowing and photography- into my schedule as I can, while trying to learn to crochet in my spare time. This past summer I lived in Manhattan and worked as a software engineering intern at Bank of America on the external cloud team- this July I’ll be returning as a full time employee! I chose Temple because of amazing opportunities like these and Temple has not disappointed. There is something for everyone here at Temple. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about Honors, my majors, extracurriculars, research, or anything else. Hope to see you at Temple soon!
