Hi everyone! My name is Namya (she/her) and I’m from Freehold, NJ. I’m a political science major with a biology minor on the pre-dental track and I’m so thankful to have met many of my peers in the Temple Honors Community. What ultimately drew me to Temple was the diverse student population and importance the university places on giving back to our community. I have been an active member of Temple’s Pre-Dental Health Society since my freshman year and have served as the club’s Temple Student Government and American Student Dental Association Director and Representative for the past two years. I encourage you to join PDHS if you are a pre-dental student at Temple, are considering the dental track, or love teeth as much as we do! Exploring Center City and South Philly in general is always an adventure. My personal favorite is hitting Philly Aids Thrift on South St on Saturday mornings after grabbing coffee at Rally Coffee on S 7th St. Also, if you’re looking to get film developed, PhotoLounge on S 17th St is always a fun visit. Feel free to reach out with any questions about Temple or being pre-dental in general, I’m more than happy to help!
