Hello! My name is Wes Martin, and I'm a junior Political Science and Environmental Studies double major. I grew up in a small town in Berks county, Pennsylvania. I was drawn to Temple because I wanted to attend  school in an urban environment where I could meet people from diverse backgrounds. When I came here, I immediately felt at home in the tight-knit Temple Honors community. I’ve gotten involved on campus by working for the Temple Student Government and participating in Temple Honors Appalachia. Outside of school, I work part-time for the Juvenile Diversion Unit at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where I am helping a team of researchers assess the shortcomings of Philadelphia’s juvenile justice system and develop new community-based programs to keep teens out of prison. In my free time, I love running, reading, and playing the guitar. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding the Temple honors program, the College of Liberal Arts, the Temple Student Government, my research, or if you just want to talk!
