My name is Nicholas Afanassiev, and I am a freshman in the Fox School of Business with a major in accountancy. Beyond that, I plan to continue school to become a CPA. I am from Langhorne, PA, which is a suburb about 40 minutes away from Center City. Naturally, I love everything about Philadelphia and wanted to stay relatively close to home. Temple Honors was icing on the cake, as it allows for such a big school to feel smaller in certain situations. I absolutely loved my first semester at Temple, and could not be happier with my decision. I played on an intramural volleyball team, and also play racquetball with my friends. I am employed at Francisco's on the River, a restaurant in New Hope, and hope to work in the city soon. I try to explore new parts of the city each time my friends and I go, because there is an endless list of things to do and see once there. In my free time I still enjoy watching sports, reading, and most of all just hanging out with the people on my floor.
