Hi! My name is Parita Phon-amnuaisuk (Sydney) (She/Her) and I am a freshmen nursing student with a declared certificate in Spanish! I am from Breinigville, Pennslyvania which is considered suburban??? But is very much rural to me. I was actually born in Bangkok, Thailand and moved to the states when I was 9 years old. Growing up in a capital city made me realize that it was my ideal environment and was what made me choose Philly and Temple as my school of choice! I love exploring, shopping, eating at different spots, and meeting new and interesting people at both Temple and the Philly area! I love talking about my culture and my big move here so feel free to reach out if we have similar interests or backgrounds! Temple Honors has really taught me how valuable connections can be and it has really motivated me to be more involved as a student and just a person living in Philly. Like locally volunteering for example. Other than being a HATT, I am involved in SNAP, Student Nurses’ Association of Pennsylvania, PERIOD club, and Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-health honors society. When I’m free, I LOVE rotting in bed, hanging out with friends, watching TV, or even just knocking out some assignments at Charles. My most favorite thing to do in Philly though is taking the subway to walk around center city, Chinatown, or exploring somewhere new. My goal for my future at Temple is to be involved as much as I possibly can to hopefully positively impact my future and academic career at Temple and Philadelphia!
